Clean Beauty we discuss the importance of Clean Beauty with skin guru Skin Angel founder Angelina….
Why is clean beauty so important and what does clean beauty mean to you? What classifies a clean beauty product?
‘Clean Beauty’ is a term recently created that you could say is still open for interpretation. To briefly touch on its general ethos, clean beauty often describes beauty products that have been formulated mindfully by choosing ‘non-toxic’ and ethically sourced ingredients, while also focusing on minimising their eco-footprint throughout the life cycle of a product. Although there is much debate around what is classified as ‘non-toxic’ ingredient, I think the most important principle behind clean beauty is about mindfulness. To me, clean beauty is about doing my best to educate myself about my product formulations and how best to minimise harm to my body and the environment.

Why do you believe in the philosophy beauty from the inside out?
Over the years of being a treating therapist it has become evident that many skin concerns presented to me are largely influenced by internal imbalances within the body. Ensuring the body is supported to produce enough energy to sustain the thousands of functions performed by the body every day is vital to the health and vibrance of how our skin, the largest organ of the body, functions. There are many factors that can influence this such as chronic stress, gut and hormone imbalances and environmental stressors such as UV exposure and pollution. Therefore, its indispensable to not only support the skin topically but internally as well.
